DTD and Partypoker Launch $250,000 Guaranteed GPPT

Partypoker and Dusk Till Dawn (DTD) have jointly launched the Grand Prix Poker Tour (GPPT), a unique opportunity for poker players to not only win huge cash prizes at small stakes, but also play at prominent UK football stadiums. It will be held in October 2016, giving players a chance to win their share of a $250k prize pool for a buy-in of just $109.
The organizers have made a few changes to the event. In the first place, the prize pool, which has always been in US dollars, is now in British Pounds. So players will be playing for their share of £250,000.

Second, the buy-in has changed. While players can still either buy in directly for $109 or win tickets at partypoker, they can also buy-in for £75+£10. Third, while all buy-ins used to be processed through players’ accounts at partypoker, players can now buy in with cash at several local casinos. Fourth, the tournament now lasts three days instead of the original two days, and players can buy in directly to Day 2 for £550. Players who opt to do this will receive 200,000 chips.
Several Day 1s are held not only in DTD and its partner casinos, but also at partypoker. Each Day 1 comprises 14 levels, and at the end of the 14th level, players can continue to Day 2. If a player progresses to Day 2, but is not happy with his/her chip stack, he/she can play another Day 1. Players can take only their biggest stack into Day 2 as the organizers will confiscate all other stacks.
The GPPT attracts mostly players from the UK. However, it also gets participants from Canada, Europe, and America considering the fact that it is held just before the World Poker Tour UK.
Those interested can qualify for the GPPT for only $0.01. Currently, the partypoker lobby is focusing only on upcoming Canada, Ireland, and Cardiff tournaments, but one can expect only Day 1s of the GPPT to appear soon. If players take the trouble of filtering events in the partypoker lobby, they will find Live Event Tickets, which have buy-ins in the range of $0.01 to $5.50. These tournaments feed into tournaments with buy-ins of $22, which enable players to win GPPT seats.
If players sign up at partypoker through PokerNews and input the bonus code PNCOM while loading their accounts, they will receive a first deposit bonus of 100% up to $500.
