How to Qualify
Players who are keen on joining some live tournament action at a cheaper price can do so by taking part in online satellites scheduled on March 17 – April 15, with buy-ins starting from as low as $5.
Daily qualifiers for the $1,000,000 GTD BSPO Championship will run at 2:30pm, 5:30pm, 8:30pm, and 10:30pm, in which 1 in 10 players will have the chance to win a $45 online satellite entry ticket. Players who are not able to win a satellite ticket don’t need to worry as there are still regular $365 turbo qualifiers that should enable them to win their way to the Championship event.
Head Over To Atlantic City
The BSPO is one of the major poker tournaments that will take place in Atlantic City in 2019 and will be of interest to poker players with different types of bankrolls. This is because the BSPO caters to both low and high rollers, with a wide range of buy-ins. Low rollers can expect total prize pools of between $20,000 and $150,000.
Katie Stone Cappucio, a BorgataPoker.com-sponsored pro and ambassador said players can look forward to a record-breaking year for BSPO. The year already started with a bang after a record 47 players managed to win their way to the BSPO, through online satellites during the Winter Poker Open opening event in January.
One of the lucky online qualifiers was Vladimir Alexandrov from Maryland, who was the Winter Poker Open third placer. Aside from winning $216,000 for his victory, the player also earned a free seat to the $600 Deepstack Kickoff event.
The Borgata is a poker hotspot in the northeast. With two World Poker Tour stops held annually, online poker offerings, and several major tournament series taking place throughout the year, poker players enjoy coming to the Borgata.
The Atlantic City venue attracts a shared player pool among New Jersey, Delaware and Nevada. While offering a great live tournament experience, Borgata Casino also allows players to enjoy their favorite games online using their smartphones or tablets while taking part in actual action at live events.
Cappuccio says Borgata is definitely the place to be this spring for those who are looking for poker variety and some intense tournament action. Further details in relation to structures and formats at the BSPO will be announced soon.
