The third edition of the annual Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open began at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino on July 30, Thursday. The highlight of this event is a one-entry championship tournament with a guaranteed prize of $5 million and The Big Four, the first finale of its kind, featuring four final tables and scheduled to be broadcast on CBS Sports Network by Poker Night in America early in 2016.

The Big Four guarantees a unique and entertaining poker gaming experience. It will comprise four guaranteed live poker tournaments, the four final tables of which will be played at the same time. The event will be televised and broadcast as an episode of a new series called “Poker Night: The Tour” on CBS Sports. The commentary for all the four final tables will be supplied by professional poker player Phil Hellmuth for the benefit of a large live audience. The venue will be the Hard Rock Live and the starting time will be 2:00 p.m. on August 18, Tuesday. The action will be streamed live online on Twitch.tv and at the Poker Night website.

Details of the Big 4 tournaments are as follows. Event #21 will be the $5 million guaranteed, $5,250 buy-in SHRPO championship. It will be based on the single-entry format and will be played on August 15, Saturday. Payouts are guaranteed for 150 players.

Event #22 will be the $1 million guaranteed, $2,650 buy-in NL Hold’em tournament, which will be played on August 16, Sunday, at 2:00 p.m. The event promises a first-place prize of $200k, a guaranteed minimum prize of $3,750, and guaranteed payouts for 60 players.

Event #23 will be the $500k guaranteed, $1,100 buy-in NL Hold’em tournament, which will be played on August 17, Monday. The event promises a guaranteed first-place prize of $100k, a guaranteed minimum prize of $1,500, and guaranteed prizes to 75 players.

Event #24 will be the $1 million guaranteed, $25,400 high roller tournament, which will be played on August 17. The event guarantees a first-place prize of $350,000, a minimum payout of $37,500, and prizes to eight players.

Satellites will be run throughout the event. Satellites giving away 25 seats to the $5 million guaranteed championship will be played at 11:00 a.m. on August 13 and August 14.

Another highlight of the event will be the Charity Series of Poker (CSOP), which will benefit Habitat for Humanity of Broward and Habitat for Humanity International.
