Players on BetMGM Poker USA have another major tournament series to look forward to this month. Bounty Blitz, a series dedicated to the popular knockout format, will run from February 20-27 in New Jersey (NJ), Michigan (MI), and Pennsylvania (PA). The upcoming festival, BetMGM Poker’s second tournament series of the year in the US market, features almost $750,000 in total guarantees spread out across 24 tournaments.

Bounty Blitz Key Details

NJ, MI, and PA will adopt a similar schedule of events, with buy-ins ranging from $35 to $1,000. Each day, players across all three states have three tournaments to choose from running from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The only major difference is the guarantees on offer.
Players in NJ will compete for the biggest guarantee of $289,000, while those in MI and PA will get a shot at $229,500 and $219,500 in guarantees respectively, bringing the total guaranteed prize pool to $738,000.
The series wraps up with the Main Event which has a buy-in of $1,000, half of that will go to the player’s bounty. The Main Event in NJ features $75,000 in guarantees while players in MI and PA will compete for $50,000 in prize money in the same tournament.

Satellites & Pick-A-Card Promo

Players will be able to secure a seat into the major events for a fraction of the price via satellites running on BetMGM Poker throughout the series.
Additionally, the operator is also giving players the chance to boost their bankroll ahead of the festival by running a special promotion. Between now and February 27, the operator is giving away up to $50 in free bets daily via the Pick-A-Card promo.
To take part in the ongoing promo, players are only required to earn 25 loyalty points (BRPs) by playing real money games on BetMGM Poker.
Those earning 25 BRPs for the day will then qualify for the prize draw for a chance to get up to $50 free bet. The free bets are awarded as tickets and players can use them at both cash game and tournament tables within the promo period, which means they can replenish their bankrolls in the lead up to Bounty Blitz.
Knockout tournaments are a hit among players as apart from the regular prizes, they also get the chance to win extra cash through the bounties placed on their heads at the start of the tournament.
Bounty Blitz is the second knockout tournament series run by BetMGM Poker. Last year, the operator hosted the New Year Knockout Mini-Series, though that particular festival adopted a progressive structure wherein a player’s own bounty increases with each opponent they eliminate.
Bounty Blitz follows the standard knockout format where bounties remain fixed all throughout.

BetMGM Poker Working Hard to Improve US Status

BetMGM Poker continues its efforts to improve its standing in the US market, particularly in the states of Michigan and Pennsylvania where the site is lagging behind PokerStars.
BetMGM Poker has been operating in MI and PA for nearly a year, having launched there in March and April 2021. It has struggled to increase its market share in both states, with major rival PokerStars holding on to the top spot since it went live.
The operator is starting to pick up steam though with its monthly tournament offering. It kicked off 2022 with the Double Trouble Series, awarding more than $300,000 in prizes to players across NJ, MI, and PA. Bounty Blitz is the fifth series the operator has hosted in three months.
To participate in the festival, you must have an account with BetMGM Poker.
