The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission and Kahnawake Gaming Commission (KGC) made official statements on Tuesday about the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) indictment on 11 people associated with Full Tilt, PokerStars, and Absolute Poker.

The FBI has booked 11 people for money laundering, bank fraud, and violation of gambling laws. Isai Schienberg, Ray Bitar, and Scott Tom, the founder operators of PokerStars, Full Tilt, and Scott Tom are among the 11 indicted. Following FBI confiscation of their domain names, the online poker service providers withdrew their services from the US.
KGC, which licensed and regulated Absolute Poker, said that it is in the process of reviewing the April 15 indictment issued by the New York southern district against its licensee. Stating that it does not want players to be adversely affected by these indictments, the KGC said that it is currently discussing the status of players’ accounts with its licensee. The KGC also assured that it will take the required steps and issue further statements once it completes its review.
The Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission, which issued a license to Poker Stars, stated that the commission is aware of all allegations made against founders and operators of PokerStars. Stating that the commission is discussing the issue with PokerStars, it confirmed that it has made no changes to the status of PokerStars’ gaming license. Admitting that PokerStars no longer permits US players to play for real money, the commission said that it is ensuring that any US player, who would like to withdraw money from his/her account, is free to do so.
PokerStars has posted a tweet on Twitter assuring players that the money in their gaming accounts is safe and informing them that its customer care email address is now The online poker room has also urged its players to be patient because it is currently submerged with a large number of emails.
Full Tilt Poker also stated over the weekend that US poker players will not be able to withdraw their money temporarily and has assured them that their money is safe. Full Tilt has also assured players that they can convert their Tournament Dollars or Tournament Tickets into real cash. However, Absolute Poker has not yet made any official statements about players’ accounts.
The US government has also agreed that Full Tilt and PokerStars can allow players to withdraw funds in their gaming accounts.
