Late on this post, but thanks to everyone who participated in the last CTM tournament. The top three were Scotty, Randy and MJ in the limit tournament that we played. Sorry for the confusion on the limit game, but hopefully everyone took it in stride as an interesting twist. As I said in the tournament, the Party Poker Million is always played in limit format, so that experience may come in handy some day.

Also, I will be taking a break from this site for a week catch up on real life stuff. During that time, I'll also be abstaining from playing poker and will instead be studying my game and re-reading books and articles. I will follow that with a week of not even thinking about poker, so I come back fresh and focused in two weeks. See you all then.

Just a reminder that the tournament is tomorrow, so read the below posts for details if you want to participate. In other news, I contacted an online poker professional who was generous enough to donate a swarm of hand histories to me to post on the site. He plays 7 tables at once on Party Poker at the $3/6 up to $15/30 limit games and plays $55 STT tournaments as well. It's going to take me awhile to get these up, but just thought to let you guys know first.

Last night, I was also talking to a bunch of other poker guys in real life, who referred me to someone who has been a poker pro for nearly 8 years now and also plays online. An interesting tidbit that I learned was that there is a certain poker site that has amazingly soft, mid/high stakes no-limit cash games. I'm going to check this out myself and see how it goes first before naming the site however. If you absolutely must know now, you can bug me on the forums.

A bit late on this post, but the winner of Saturday's tournament was Chickenfly69 in 1st, followed by MJ in 2nd and Randy in 3rd. Prizes awarded included Chickenfly winning the $15 bounty on taking out Randy and KevTheMac for winning a free copy of Poker Tracker! Thanks to everyone that participated!

Also to note is that there will be another tournament this Saturday with all the standard details. Scotty will be giving away a copy of "Winning Low Limit Hold'em" by Lee Jones to the best placing 'newbie' in the tournament (but must at least make the top 5).

I've added two histories: both are $200 no-limit single table tournaments. One is by me and is the "My Histories" section and the other was a history posted by strassa2 on the 2+2 forums, which is in the "Visitor History" section.

Also don't forget – the PokerStars tournament is tomorrow @ 4:00pm EST / 1:00pm PST, so sign up if you want to play! Tournament details are two posts down if you need them.

Ok, I've uploaded the three replays from the PokerStars tournament. Here are the text files for them: Scotty's history, Mathman's history and MJ's history,

I didn't receive any other hand histories, so these are the ones being mentioned. Anyhow, gotta get back to Party Poker so I can have my Jacks cracked for the umpteeth time today. Who knows though, maybe my bad luck in the $200 single table tournaments will be offset by some good luck in today's Super Thursday. I hope so 🙂

I've just uploaded a number of poker articles that I've been working on and will be pushing to get more done soon. I recommend reading the article on staying off tilt if that is a problem in your game. I believe most people go on tilt, even only slightly, so it's a worthwhile read.

In other news, there will be another PokerStars tournament this weekend, Aug-21st @ 4:00pm EST / 1:00pm PST. One copy of Poker Tracker will be raffled off, but no official bounties are being placed, although there may be some bounties placed on last week's winner, Randy – so be prepared for some fun. The password is "pokertracker", so hope to see some of you there.

I will also be uploading last week's tournament histories up soon later today, so expect to see those up. I'm working (slowly) on a multi-table tournament article, but I'm finding my advice really isn't that exciting. So, as a result, I'm going to study up on the MTT games and see what useful points I can write about.

The tournament is over and the results are in!

The top three finishers are: Randy72560, fishinghooks (scotty) and garnetshark (mathman).

The winner of the bounty was garnetshark, who knocked me out with J3s vs TT and won the $50 bounty. Fishinghooks knocked out pngn (JP) to win the secondary $25 bounty. Humsai was knocked out with his pocket Aces and thus got his buy-in refunded and also won a free copy of Poker Tracker in the raffle! The other raffle winner was Morbyd – so both of you please contact me in the forums to receive further instructions.

Thanks to everyone who participated, as it was fun as usual 🙂

Just a reminder that the Poker Tracker giveaway tournament is on for today @ 1:00pm PST / 4:00pm EST at PokerStars. Game name is "Catch the Monkey #3 – $50 Bounty" and password is pokertracker.

For those of you looking on some good examples of multi-table tournament games, I've uploaded a replay in the visitor histories section from "strassa2" (real name Jason). Jason is a solid tournament player, so a big thanks goes out to him for donating this history. Hope you guys enjoy.

Added some more Party Poker goodies in the poker software section. Specifically, some humorous congratulations graphics for those of you who are looking to fool around. You'll know what I mean when you see them 🙂

Also, Party Poker changed their Bad Beat Jackpot requirements to be Queens full of Tens rather than having four-of-a-kind or better beaten. This should make it slightly easier, but still not worth it to play the Jackpots.
