Although not one of the well-known professional poker players in the industry, Asher Conniff has enjoyed a great deal of success recently. If this continues, he may end up becoming a famous poker pro in the near future.

He has become the champion of Event #1 of the Borgata Spring Poker Open 2015, which was held in Atlantic City. He defeated a 2,408-field to win a huge first-place prize of $203,231. The last three players at the table struck a deal, according to the terms of which they would share the prize money and continue to play for the title and a cash prize of $20,000.

Although Alvarado finished third, his game was excellent. He had won this event last year and nearly won it this year too. With his pocket nines, Conniff called on a flop that comprised a Seven of Diamonds, a Three of Diamonds, and a Three of Clubs. Alvarado held a Four of Diamonds and a Six of Diamonds, but the cards on the turn and the river did not act in his favor. As a result, he had to leave in the third position.

Stout and Conniff continued to battle for the championship title with Conniff in the chip lead. Stout bet all in with a Jack of Hearts and a Queen of Hearts while Conniff who had a King of Clubs and a Ten of Diamonds called. The King then determined Conniff as the winner, leaving Stout to carry home the runner-up prize of $140,000.

Conniff has been very successful in live poker tournaments. He has finished in the cash several times at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) as well as Borgata events. But his latest achievement is his biggest in terms of cash prizes won. Before his win, he has earned a total of $176,000 in live poker tournaments.

Bluff.com says that he captured attention when he raced ahead of other players on the NJ Online Player of the Year leader board after winning a couple of tournaments at partypoker’s Garden State Super Series II held in January. Although he has now fallen behind other players, his talent at the poker table is worth noting.

Conniff has also appeared on Poker Night in America with top poker players. He earned this opportunity by winning a satellite organized by 888.com.

The Borgata Spring Open 2015 comprises 17 tournaments, including the $15,000 buy-in World Poker Tour World Championship.
