Last April, Terry King, an amateur poker player, emerged as the champion of a tough MSPT event. Eric Loehr and Mark Sandness were also among the finalists. Ultimately, it was the amateur Ring, who beat Jivkov in the heads-up match and won the first-place prize of $87,694 and the prestigious bracelet.
Here is a list of the poker achievements of the finalists at the event. Blair Hinkle, the winner of a WSOP Circuit ring and a WSOP bracelet, has won millions of dollars playing live poker tournaments. Nik Jivkov has won the WSOP Circuit ring thrice and a WSOP bracelet once. Blake Bohn recently won the Chicago Poker Classic and emerged as the runner-up of a WSOP event, winning around $600k. David Gonia won an MSPT bracelet this January and emerged as the champion of a WSOP event, winning a prize around $57,000.
The next MSPT event will be held at the Meskwaki on July 20, which happens to be a Saturday, and will conclude on July 28. The $1,100 buy-in Main Event, which will have a guaranteed prize of $300k, will begin on July 26. Blake Bohn, a leading professional poker player at the MSPT, said: “If things don’t go my way in the tournament, there are always a ton of cash games to get into. I really felt at the last stop here when I arrived at the final table that I was going to win my first MSPT bracelet. Getting back in that position again is my only objective.”
The Meskwaki Bingo Casino Hotel, which is located at Tama in Iowa, offers attractive features such as a large bingo hall, lively craps tables, table games, horse book, blackjack games, spa, exercise rooms, and several hotel rooms. It was the first casino resort to host a $300k guaranteed MSPT event. The Meskwai MSPT is special because of the casino resort’s ability to host tournaments as well as cash games in one spacious hall.
