Americas Cardroom (ACR) has had a lot of success with its Venom poker tournaments with each of the four editions getting bigger and better. ACR which is a U.S friendly poker site is coming out with a fifth edition of Venom V MTT that will top all of the other four editions.
Venom V MTT – $10 Million Guarantee
ACR has confirmed that upcoming Venom MTT will be the biggest tournament in the poker room’s history as it will offer a whopping $10 million in guaranteed prize money. The poker tournament is set to start from July 23 and will run till Aug 4 and will be open to poker players from all over the world.
This will be the second Venom MTT of 2021 and will commence with four starting flights followed by three days of action before the tournament closes. The buy-in for this tournament is set at $2,650 and the $10 million guaranteed prize pool will create a record for the biggest MTT organized by a U.S. friendly poker site.
ACR has also guaranteed that a minimum of two players who take part in Venom V MTT will walk away as millionaires. While the buy-in for the event is a bit high, those players who cannot afford it can take part in the many satellite events and freerolls that ACR is running. Venom MTT’s – Big Success For ACR
The poker room ran a successful Venom IV MTT tournament from Jan 22 to Jan 31 with an $8 million guaranteed prize pool. ACR boosted this prize pool as it expected a good turnout amongst online poker players since most live poker venues across the world were still shut due to the on-going COVID-19 lockdown.
ACR expectations for Venom IV MTT were surpassed as they ended up with 3,774 registrations and saw the prize pool surpass the $8 million guarantee and go up to $9.4 million. The tournament offered a lot of exciting online poker action and in the end it was a poker player with the handle ‘PORKONOMAR’ who won the tournament and took home a whopping $1.1 million in prize money.
ACR is once again confident that Venom V MTT will have a strong turnout and it is quite possible that the $10 million guarantee will also be surpassed. One reason for ACR being so confident is because the live poker scene in most parts of the world is yet to go back to normal and online poker sites continue to report a strong stream of poker traffic.
While the Las Vegas poker scene is getting back to normal, other states in America are taking a cautious approach and hence the live poker scene is still very slow. U.S. poker players looking for a big payday will set their sights on playing ACR’s Venom V MTT.
ACR Gets Unnecessary Publicity
Americas Cardroom has been in the news the last couple of months for the wrong reasons. ACR faced software issues in May 2021 and the poker room decided to cancel a number of poker events instead of rescheduling them. This upset a lot of ACR poker players who took to social media to criticize the company.
ACR brand ambassador Chris Moneymaker tried to pacify some of these upset poker players but did not succeed as he got a lot of flak for representing ACR and trying to defend the brand.
ACR also got negative publicity earlier this month after CEO Phil Nagy made a sexist remark during a livestream. Nagy said that he made the comment as a joke but acknowledged that such comments were uncalled for and issued an apology. The ACR CEO also went on record to state that he would promise to make ACR safe for all players
We leave it up to you to decide if you want to take part in Venom V MTT.
