Doyles Room, which was set up in 2004 by online poker professional Doyle Brunson, has been acquired by Americas Card Room (ACR) for an unknown price. Commenting on the sale, an ACR spokesperson said, “DoylesRoom’s new software that’s proving to be a player favorite coupled with their recent success in serving US players made the company attractive for a takeover.” The spokesperson also expressed ACR’s excitement of acquiring Doyle’s Room, as a result of which the ACR brand has greatly expanded.

America’s Card Room is brand new, having been launched in 2001, after which it quickly gained the reputation of being one of the top online poker rooms in the US. The Unlawful Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) of 2006 changed things for America’s Card Room, which left the US market immediately thereafter. However, the brand re-appeared in the US online poker market last month and is offering paid online poker gaming services to US poker players.

America’s Card Room is part of the Yatahay Network, which is one of the most secure online poker networks offering paid poker services to US online poker players. Shortly before its acquisition, Doyles Room had shifted to the Yahatay Network. Although little known at present, Yatahay is topnotch and is quickly on the way to becoming one of the most popular networks in the industry.

The acquisition, however, will not mean too many changes for Doyles’ Room players. Instead of playing at Doyle’s Room, they will find themselves playing at America’s Card Room with the same login details, passwords, and user names. The Doyle’s Room brand will completely disappear and will be replaced by the ACR brand.

Explaining the matter further, an ACR spokesperson said: “Players and affiliates can rest assured that their balances are safe and secure and Americas CardRoom will honor all of the existing DoylesRoom agreements. With more liquidity being injected into the operation of the business, players can expect to see bigger guarantees, better promotions, and greater incentives for being a part of the Americas CardRoom community.”

All rights related to affiliate and player data, staff, software, player liability, and others have been transferred to America’s Card Room. Still, players will not experience too many changes because America’s Card Room will continue all existing Doyles Room promotions and agreements with affiliates and players.

America’s Card Room will also introduce a brand new tournament series America’s Card Room Online Super Series (ACROSS) for players in November.
