888poker is gearing up for a brand new online poker festival taking place across its entire network! The online poker operator is teaming up with the World Poker Tour (WPT) to host an online edition of one of the tour’s most popular tournament series, WPTDeepStacks.
WPTDeepStacks Debuts on 888poker
For the first time ever, 888poker will be hosting the WPTDeepStacks brand, and not just one but three similar series will run simultaneously across 888poker’s global, Spanish/Portuguese, and Italian networks, giving all of its players the chance to win a share of the massive $3 million in total guarantees! The festival will take place from April 18 – 26.
Each of the series features a total of 16 events, wherein the winners will not just walk away with the top prize, but also take home a prestigious WPT DeepStacks trophy. Players can choose from various buy-ins and formats spread across nine days of online action.
WPTDS London Online will run on 888poker’s global network offering a huge $2 million guarantee, with WPTDS Iberia and WPTDS Italy taking place across the European network featuring €400,000 and €350,000 in guaranteed prizes.
WPTDS London Online
Players on 888poker’s global network will compete for the biggest guarantees at the festival. WPTDS London features $2 million in guaranteed prize money across 16 events. The series culminates in the $1,050 Main Event which comes with a massive $1 million guarantee!
Those who want to enter for a more affordable price can take a shot at satellites currently running on 888poker. For as low as $0.01, players can participate in Pennybuy qualifiers which will award $11 tickets to a sub-satellite.
Players can then climb their way to the main satellite where they can win a seat into the $1,050 Main Event. They can transform their tiny investment into massive winnings in just three steps, or they can simply directly buy into the tournament as they wish.
The London Main Event is a multi-flight tournament, with four Day 1s giving players the opportunity to build as much stack for Day 2.

WPTDS in Spain/Portugal & Italy

WPTDeepStacks Will be Powered by New Poker 8 Software
In late 2020, 888poker rolled out its latest major software upgrade, Poker 8, across its global platform. Just this month, its players in Spain/Portugal as well as Italy also started playing via the new software.
With Poker 8 now fully operational across 888poker’s entire network, the upcoming WPTDeepStacks festival will run on the new software, offering enhanced gameplay and additional features.
Bigger Exposure for Both 888poker & WPT
This isn’t the first time that 888poker has partnered with the WPT. Both brands also worked together back in 2018 for WPT500. During that year, 888poker became the title sponsor of the series, which took place at the Aspers Casino in London. 888poker has also hosted some of WPT’s online satellites.
