888poker has decided to come out with a new 2021 XL Autumn Series in October that will feature $2 million in guarantees. During the last few years, 888poker has generally preferred to run its XL series tournaments with smaller guaranteed prize pools.
888poker Increases XL Series Guarantee
888poker will runs its 2021 XL Autumn Series from Oct 10 to Nov 1 with a total of 44 events taking place and a combined guaranteed prize pool of $2 million. This is the biggest XL series that 888poker has run since 2018 both in terms of prize money and the number of events.
888poker put together some big XL series tournament sin 2017 when it three huge tournaments. The first had a $5 million guaranteed prize pool in Jan 2017 and was followed $7.5 million guaranteed prize pool in May and then a $9 million guaranteed prize pool in September.
However in recent times, 888poker has shunned away from running online poker tournaments with big guarantees and has preferred to focus on smaller XL series guaranteed prize pools and low buy-ins. The average buy-in across these 44 events is $45,000 which is definitely impressed when compared to recent XL series events.

888poker Taking Bigger Steps
888poker was once the second-biggest online poker room in the world after PokerStars. The UK poker operator has lost out on market share in recent years as the likes of PokerStars and GGPoker have dominated the online poker market with their multi-million dollar online poker tournaments and huge giveaways.
888poker is taking bigger steps in 2021 as it once again looks to come out with bigger tournament guarantees and also boosts its brand image by launching a new twitch channel.
