The schedule for this year’s 888poker XL Inferno Series has been announced. Taking place from May 16 to 26, the online poker tournament will feature a total guaranteed prize pool of more than $1.4 million.
The 11-day festival has something in store for everyone, offering some of the lowest buy-ins online, spread across 34 events.
Players can take part in the $10,000-guaranteed Micro Tune Up for just $5.50, or climb all the way up to $320 for Event #17 XL Inferno High Roller which will award $100,000 in guarantees to the winners.
The cream of the crop is the $250 buy-in Main Event, guaranteeing $500,000. It will take place on the final day of the series on May 26, running alongside the $50,000 GTD, $33 buy-in XL Inferno Mini Main Event, as well as the $5.50 buy-in XL Inferno Micro Main Event guaranteeing $15,000.
Daily Satellites
888poker is giving players the best opportunity to qualify for the XL Inferno events by hosting free-to-enter satellites running daily throughout the festival.
Existing players are entitled to two free tickets to the tournament’s promotional satellites and they will only need to wait for an email from 888poker with instructions on how to claim the tickets. Those who are not able to receive any email within the week should get in touch with 888poker’s customer support team.
There are two satellites running each day: the first one takes place at 4pm, offering an XL Inferno Mini Tune Up seat worth $16.50 to the top 50 players; players can participate in another satellite at 8pm where they will get the chance to win their way to the $250 Main Event. Free tickets will be awarded to the top 12 players.
Additional Tickets Up for Grabs
You don’t need to worry if you’ve already used your free tickets as you will still have the chance to earn more by accomplishing personal daily challenges. 888poker will send the details of the challenges via email. The poker client’s admin panel will also guide you with the process.
Additional tickets are also on offer everyday through the Wheel game. What you need to do is to play the game the first time you open the poker client. Unfortunately, you will no longer be able to win tickets via the mobile app during the evenings as it is currently not covered in this year’s promotion. Previously, players had the opportunity to secure tickets by playing on the mobile app at night.
Win Your Way to WSOP 2019
If this year’s XL Inferno Series still doesn’t interest you, then think twice. If you manage to play in at least 5 events, you will earn a special ticket to 888poker’s WSOP Qualifier Freeroll which will happen at the end of the series. The freeroll tournament will award a WSOP Main Event package worth $12,000, three Crazy 8’s packages each worth $2,700, as well as $9,300 in prize money.
As this year’s series features low buy-ins starting from as low as $5.50, it will not be difficult for players to take part in five or more events.
First-Time Depositors – Pay Attention!
888poker is warning first-time depositors against using the “INFERNO10” bonus code in availing their free tickets as it will only lead to their first deposit bonus being forfeited. Usually, players are invited via email to deposit at least $10 and use the bonus code in order to get three tickets to the XL Inferno satellites. This was what happened in past promotions where some players lost their entire first deposit bonus of up to $600.
Players are advised to instead use the “888BONUS” code when they make their first deposit. You can then earn tickets to the free-entry satellites through a pop-up box which appears when you log in to the poker client. You will also be notified of personal daily challenges to allow you to secure more tickets, but be reminded that they may not be immediately available in the poker client’s admin page. You have to wait for 72 hours before the challenges are fully displayed.
Don’t Miss the 2019 XL Inferno Series!
While this year’s XL Inferno Series isn’t as huge as the past editions, there is still a lot at stake in a number of events including the $109 buy-in XL Inferno PKO and the $160 PKO 8-Max, each guaranteeing $50,000. There will also be a $55 Deepstack event, as well as a $109 buy-in XL Inferno 6-Max, each featuring a guaranteed prize pool of $30,000.
