888 Holdings Wins Best Digital Operator At Global Gaming Awards

The Global Gaming Awards (GGA) was recently held at the Venetian Palazzo Congress Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. The GGA is widely recognized as the most popular global gaming convention and award show in the gaming industry and the award ceremony took place at the Venetian ballroom.
The event was attended by all of the major gambling companies and their key executives. There were close 600 key decision makers representing the likes of MGM Resorts International, Playtech, Microgaming, NYX Gaming Group, IGT, GeoComply, SG Interactive and Unibet.

A total of 12 awards were given away on the night covering both live gaming and online gaming. The nominees for the 12 categories were shortlisted by a nomination panel that comprised of eight industry veterans who had vast knowledge of the gaming industry. Some of the categories that were recognized at the GGA included Best Digital Operator, Casino Product of the Year, Land-Based Industry Supplier of the Year, Land-Based Gaming Innovation and Digital Gaming Innovation award.
The eventual winners were decided by a panel of 60 judges who also comprised of industry veterans and experts in their respective fields. One of the top awards of the night, which was the Best Digital Operator award was presented to 888 Holdings for their 888poker.com offering. 888poker is the second biggest online poker website in the world after PokerStars.

Some of the other winners included IGT which won two awards for the Land-Based Industry Supplier of the Year and the Casino Product of the Year; Playtech for the Digital Supplier of the Year award; Microgaming for Digital Product of the Year category and Unibet for Digital Acquisition Program of the Year.
