PokerStars has finally released the complete list of events for the 2021 World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP). The WCOOP is right up there with the most popular online poker festivals in the United States and returning for a 20th edition this year. PokerStars is celebrating this milestone by putting together a massive $100 million guarantee, making this the largest guaranteed prize pool in the festival’s history.

As usual, the tournaments are spread out across the Low, Medium, and High buy-in levels. Players can enter events for as low as $5.50, but for those who prefer high-stakes action, the schedule also includes a $25,000 buy-in Super High Roller.
The festival features a wide range of formats, from the traditional NLHE and PLO, to the popular Six Plus Hold’em and PKO, with a host of other exciting formats being thrown into the mix, including HORSE, Badugi, and Stud.
2021 WCOOP Main Events

All of the Main Events will take place on September 12, the biggest being the $5,200 NLHE Main Event – H which comes with a massive guarantee of $10 million. In 2020, the tournament was won by Portuguese poker pro Andre “PTFisherman23” Marques after outclassing a field of 1,977 entries.

How to Qualify for the 2021 WCOOP
Players can participate in the series in multiple ways. Satellites are currently running on PokerStars, offering players the chance to enter into events for a cheaper price.
There’s also an ongoing promo called “Road to WCOOP” where players can win a share of $1,000,000 worth of WCOOP tickets. To get involved, what players need to do is to simply opt-in to the challenge, play poker, and earn points according to their redemption points target. Upon completing the challenge, they will be entered into a weekly draw for a chance to win a WCOOP ticket. The promo runs until August 21.
Players may also qualify for the 2021 WCOOP via the 50/50 WCOOP Series, an online festival which is currently underway on PokerStars, featuring 50 tournaments, each with a buy-in of $50. There’s $7.5 million in guarantees on offer throughout the series, and every tournament winner will walk away with a $5,200 WCOOP Main Event ticket. The series will conclude on August 15.
You can even turn your $1 into a $5,200 Main Event seat via the WCOOP Fast Track promo, which runs until September 12. Not only that, those who take part in any WCOOP tournament throughout the series will qualify for a daily draw where they can also win tickets. PokerStars will be giving away $750,000 in tickets from August 23 to September 13.
If you’re a fan of PokerStars’ Spin & Go’s, you may also secure a WCOOP Main Event seat by playing the game. For as low as $4, you can get your hands on a Main Event ticket, on top of cash prizes.
WCOOP Leaderboards
The series includes four leaderboards, awarding $100,000 in extra prizes. Each buy-in tier has its own leaderboard – those who top the Low, Medium, and High leaderboards will win $5,000, $8,500, and $12,500 in cash prize respectively, and each player will also receive a trophy.
The winner of the overall leaderboard will take home $25,000 in cash prize and a trophy as well. Last year, Russia’s Rinat “Zapahzamazki” Lyapin topped the overall leaderboard, with Brazil’s Yuri Dzivielevski settling for second place.
PokerStars will be awarding a total of $100,000 in extra cash prizes for the top finishers across the four leaderboards.
