<< I take a bit of time to ponder this call. Obviously on the surface it looks like a trap. Small bet followed by large raise. Based on his previous play however, I'm almost figuring him for a flush draw. Even still, the best I have is a pair of twos with the pot. For gmblr24..
<< .. if he's got two cards higher than my seven, then he's got 9 cards to the flush and 6 overcards to my pair, giving him 15 outs, or close to a 54% chance of hitting. And this is just if he has a flush draw. So, I am pretty much forced to toss this hand away.

<< UTG again here with K3s. Being on the short stack, I can either play very aggressive to try to take the pot or conservative. Seeing how my kicker is weak and there is a trip threat, any call from me will almost have to shut me down, which is bad with a flush draw on the table. So, the worst ..

<< .. putting out a ploy. Toad is actually thinking logically here and realizes that my statement is meant to imply I have strength, so naturally I don't. However, my philosophy is that many players play on a lot of pride and absolutely hate being bluffed or outplayed. Because craniac is taking awhile ..
<< .. to think here, I know he's got a marginal hand, quite likely A9 as he says. So, when I imply to him that I never bluff, this gives his pride a way out, since if I've got the better hand - he's the one being smart and making the right play. It's a dangerous trick, but the concept is important.

<< Well, the uphill climb begins yet again. Inside straight draw here, betting out. A lot of people wonder what times you should attack the pot in heads-up games, which is a good question. I usually attack when I have any piece or draw to it. Sometimes I'll attack randomly of course, but when the flop ..
<< .. comes low, I prefer those kinds of steals. When the flop comes high, if your opponent has a piece of it, they will be much more unwilling to drop from it. With a low pot, even if they pair, they'll be scared when higher cards fall on the turn and river.

<< A lot of times I would normally check here with Kings and go for the trap. However, JOHN has already called the SB which is usually in an indicator for most players to call another bet. Psychologically, players just do not want to release a hand after they've invested some money into it.

<< Anyhow, as you can see, I manage to survive a plethora of all-ins and still come out on top with no doubt a good amount of luck behind me. However, not to toot my own horn, but if not to a number of important laydowns in this game, I think I would have been knocked out much earlier. I think that's ..
<< .. probably the best thing to take from this replay. On the other hand, I made a number of mistakes throughout the tournament of which I am not proud of that could have easily costed me the game. Hopefully you can learn off my mistakes and not by buying in to too many of your own $30 tournaments!
