Win Spot on “Poker After Dark” at Full Tilt
By Joe Zusman | January 2, 2007
The new year marked the start of a new poker television show, NBC’s “Poker After Dark.” Hosted by ex-WPT star, Shana Hiatt, the show features six top poker pros every week battling it out in a $20,000 buy-in Sit-and-Go, with the winner taking home the entire prize pool. It will air six nights a week, with the first five devoted to the tournament and the last featuring highlights and commentary by the winner.
From now through the end of April, online poker room, Full Tilt Poker, is holding tournaments to give players a chance to win their own spot at that star-studded table. The odds to win the lone seat are extremely long, but there is no cost to try, so it may be worth a shot.
The following details the path to a starring role on “Poker After Dark”:
Round 1 – 360-entrant Sit-and-Go freeroll (winner advances to Round 2) or 180-entrant Sit-and-Go freeroll (top two advance)
Round 2 – Tuesday or Saturday multi-table tournament (top nine advance to Round 3) or directly buy-in to an 18-entrant Sit-and-Go for 600 Full Tilt Poker Points (winner advances)
Round 3 – “Poker After Dark” Qualifier – April 30, 2007 – can also buy-in directly for 10,000 Points (winner receives the $25,000 prize package)
In addition to the $20,000 seat on the show, the winner will also receive $5,000 in cash.
