Win a WSOP Seat at AOL
By Adam Ulick | April 17, 2007
By now, it is old news that Harrah’s is not going to accept U.S. player registrations at the World Series of Poker from online poker rooms. Well, now that rule needs an amendment. No registrations from online sites unless the World Series of Poker has a business deal with them.
Harrah’s and America Online have partnered to send nine AOL gamers to the 2007 WSOP. The $10,000 Main Event seats, plus flight and accommodations for two, can be won by playing in a series of freeroll tournaments on AOL Games.
For nine weeks, starting this week, AOL will hold four no-limit hold’em tournaments every day using its Java-based poker client (complete with the WSOP logo and actual WSOP chip designs). The top 100 players in each will move on to play in the Sunday final, which will award the WSOP prize package to the winner.
As AOL member no longer have to pay a fee to subscribe to the service, this is truly a chance to win a seat at the WSOP for free.
