Telefonkiosk Completes Comeback, Wins August 31st Party Poker 300K

Last night, at approximately 8:45 pm EST, Telefonkiosk’s Ace Queen found a Queen on the flop to beat Skat579’s pocket nines and put an end to the August 31 Party Poker $300,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool No Limit Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament. Here are the top ten finishers with their respective prize monies and countries of origin (all dollar amounts are in USD)

1,465 players entered into the $200 + $15 weekly NL Hold’em tournament. Taking into account the dozens of low-stakes qualifiers in every Party Poker tournament, Party Poker is likely to have shelled out yet another overlay of more than $20,000 for its most lucrative regular event.
Entering Heads up play, chip leader Skat579 held a 5.6 million to 1.6 million chip advantage over eventual winner, Telefonkiosk. But Telefonkiosk would turn the game around following a suckout of more than 2 million chips, and finally deliver the deathblow in the form of Ace Queen.
