“Rizen”, “Pearljammer”, and “Apestyles” sign publishing deal for up and coming poker book series
By Kevin Felix | December 4, 2007
Diamat Enterprises, Inc. has announced the signing of three well known online poker pros, specifically chosen to collaborate on a series of poker books focused on no-limit Texas Hold’em tournament strategy.
The first two books, which are slated for release this upcoming spring and fall of 2008, will be a two volume set that will be written by some of the best online Hold’em tournament players in the business:Eric “Rizen” Lynch, Jon “Pearljammer” Turner, and Jon “Apestyles” Van Fleet. These young, yet seasoned poker celebrities have, collectively, won over 200 tournaments, qualified for more than 100 final tables and cashed in over 6 million dollars from both live and online tournaments.
Such impressive figures do not occur by chance, and these authors have agreed to share their learned expertise with the rest of the world. The series will analyze real hands played by the authors in previous tournaments. By choosing to write the series in this style, the books will effectively demonstrate, first-hand, the thought processes and strategies these players have implemented over the past to achieve their poker success. It will rely more on practical poker play as opposed to creating a more sophisticated philosophical approach to the game.
For those poker players looking for a more advanced inquiry into the game of no-limit Texas Hold’em, Eric “Rizen” Lynch will be teaming up with Mathew Hilger, an American professional poker player who started out in 2001 as a highly successful online player,to co-author ‘No-Limit Hold’em Tournament Strategy: Expert Strategies for Live and Online Play’. The book is scheduled for a fall 2008 release, and will focus more on advanced concepts and strategies geared towards no-limit Hold’em tournaments.
Hilger’s collaboration with Eric Lynch will be the fourth poker book he has authored. A contributing columnist for Cardplayer Magazine, Hilger has become a formidable player at the World Series of Poker the past few years with nine cashes, including cashes in the main event three of the last four years.Hilger is also the founder of Dimat Enterprises, created in 2003, and plans to continue publishing books through his company.
