PokerStars Unveils Two Global Promos

PokerStars, the world’s largest online poker room, is running two promotions that will give its customers a chance to travel the world to play poker.
The first, Dream Job Australia, offers the opportunity to become a PokerStars sponsored player. The path to the Dream Job begins with the Freeroll Qualifiers, held once daily, Saturday through Thursday, through March 25th. The top nine players in each Freeroll Qualifier will advance to the Weekly Finals, held each Friday this month. The top 18 players in each Weekly Final will go on to the Grand Final.
In a twist, however, it’s not simply the winner of the Grand Final that gets the Dream Job. Instead, the top ten finishers will become finalists and will have to prove themselves to the PokerStars community. They will take a poker knowledge test, meet with Team PokerStars Australia at the Australia-New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) stop, and then blog, Tweet, and post Facebook entries about themselves and poker for six weeks. At the end of the “proving” period, PokerStars customers can vote for who should win the Dream Job Australia.
The winner of the Dream Job will win $40,000 worth of tournament entries, including their choice of ANZPT events, as well as a $5,000 monthly salary.
If you are a guy, you can stop reading now. This next one is for women only. The PokerStars Luxury Ladies Poker Club has already been a success at European Poker Tour (EPT) London and the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, and now PokerStars is giving the women of Stars a chance to be part of the fun in Monte Carlo. Up for grabs is a trip to Monaco from April 27th through May 2nd (travel is paid for by PokerStars), accommodations at the Columbus Monaco hotel, an entry into the €1,100 Ladies Tournament at the EPT Grand Final, a spot in Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Rousso’s Ladies Bootcamp, and a special goodie bag which includes apparel and a VIP party invitation.
Each Sunday, starting March 7th and going through April 18th, PokerStars will have a €215 Weekly Final in which at least one €3,500 prize package will be awarded. Those who wish to play for less money can qualify for the Weekly Final via freerolls, €22 freezeouts, and €5.50 re-buy tournaments.
The freerolls will be held every Saturday during the promotional period and will award three seats into the Weekly Final. The €22 freezeouts will be held once a day Monday through Saturday and will guarantee at least one seat in the Weekly Final. The re-buy tournaments will also be held once daily Monday through Saturday, and like the freezeouts, will award at least one Weekly Final seat.
Remember, PokerStars Luxury Ladies Poker Club is open only to women. While men can play in “ladies” events in brick and mortar casinos, this isn’t a brick and mortar casino. Any man who plays will be disqualified. Any prizes won by a man will be taken away and no compensation will be given. So men, just try for the Dream Job Australia.
