PokerStars Announces WCOOP Schedule

The World Series of Poker may be coming to an end this month, but it’s not too early to start looking ahead to internet poker’s largest tournament series, the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), hosted by PokerStars.com.The 2007 WCOOP has been scheduled for September 14-30, and will feature 23 events with a total combined guaranteed prize pool of $15,000,000.No-limit hold’em is the most common game of the WCOOP, but it is far from the overwhelming selection, as only about a third of the events are of this game type.There is enough variety that every poker player can find something.
Most buy-ins are in the $215 to $530 range, with four hitting four-figures, including the no-limit hold’em main event, which will cost $2,600 to enter and will have a $5,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.
As always, PokerStars will offer satellites to the different events, although none have been scheduled yet.
