PokerStars Announces New, One-Time Tourney

This past weekend, PokerStars announced that it will hold a brand new, one-time mega-tournament, featuring a total prize pool of $2 million.The kicker: players cannot buy-in with money.
Instead, the buy-in for Sunday’s Turbo Takedown tournament is a hefty 10,000 Frequent Player Points (FPP).The tournament will accept as many as 12,000 entrants, and one in every three will make the money.First prize will be $200,000.Players will start with 3,000 chips, blinds will go up every 10 minutes, and after level 18, the blind structure will slow down to allow for more skillful play.
Satellites are running around the clock, allowing players to qualify for the tournament for as few as 10 FPP.
