PKR.com announces its first live poker event

Cutting-edge online poker site PKR has a lot to celebrate: having recently reached the 2 million player mark, PKR is about to launch its first live poker event called PKR Live, which will take place in London’s Loose Cannon Club.

PKR.com has just announced the launch of PKR live, a 3-day poker festival that will be played in London on November 14-16 at the Loose Cannon Club. The PKR Live festival will guarantee nearly $100,000 in prizes, along with Sit & Gos and cash games on the side. PKR’s Marketing Director Simon Prodger looks forward to offering more to their customer base:

This marks another important moment for PKR. We always strive to give our players the best experience in online poker but we also know that many of our players enjoy playing live. So now we are crossing the bridge to bring some of our fantastic PKR community together for a truly one-of-a-kind festival.

The 3-day festival will follow this schedule:

• Day 1: The festival will start slowly with the PKR Welcome Tournament - a $60 freezeout with a max of 150 players.
• Day 2: The PKR Live Main Event will be a $500 freezeout tourney with a $75,000 prize pool and a $20,000 guaranteed minimum first place prize.
• Day 3: Along with the finish of the Main Event, PKR will host an “invite only” $10,000 Bounty Freeroll where all participating PKR staff will have a bounty on their heads. 

To ensure many of PKR's online customers participate in the event, the site will be handing out up to 150 packages through satellites and qualifiers; these packages - worth $1,000 - will include travel and accommodation expenses as well as buy-ins into all of the tournaments.

Satellite buy-ins start for as little as $2.38+0.20, and more impatient players can skip the lower stages and enter the direct satellites for $25+2.50 or $100+9. Ten additional packages will be awarded through freerolls, and the top 5 players on the PKR leaderboard will also automatically qualify and receive a festival package.

The Loose Cannon – home to the first ever PKR Live – is a member’s club in Central London, renowned for its gaming facilities which include Poker and Backgammon.
