In addition to offering seats to the upcoming Los Angeles Poker Classic (LAPC), PartyPoker is also giving users a chance to take part in the other World Poker Tour (WPT) tournament taking place at the Commerce Casino next month, the WPT Celebrity Invitational. The freeroll event boasts a $200,000 prize pool and the winner will receive a seat in the $25,000 buy-in WPT Championship event in April in addition to their cash prize. PartyPoker will be giving away 15 seats to the popular tournament and it won’t cost players a dime, as the online qualifier tournaments only cost 10-25 PartyPoints to take part.

“This tournament will be filled with Hollywood stars and poker gods. The event is invitation only and PartyPoker.com can get you on the exclusive guest list,” said a PartyPoker spokesperson. “To win a package for the WPT Celebrity Invitational all you need to do is use PartyPoints to enter the daily qualifiers.”

PartyPoker’s series of online qualifiers will start running on Monday January 25th and will continue through Saturday January 30th. Each day, the site will host eight WPT Invitational Qualifier tournaments. The tournament slate features four tournaments with a buy-in of 10 PartyPoints and four feature buy-ins of 25 PartyPoints. In the smaller buy-in tournaments, the top three finishers will advance to the final online qualifier while the top fifteen finishers in the 25 point qualifiers advance.

The final online qualifier will be held on January 31st at 3:15PM ET. The top fifteen finishers in the event are all guaranteed a WPT Celebrity Invitational prize package, which consists of entry into the invitation-only tournament, four nights’ hotel accommodations and $2,250 to spend on travel and other expenses. Those trying to win a seat need to be at least 21 years-old, as the prize packages are non-transferrable and cannot be traded in for cash value.

The site is also holding an additional online qualifier for those who make their first real money deposit on the site between January 25th and February 6th. Anyone who makes their first deposit during that period will be invited to take part in a special freeroll on February 7th at 2:45PM ET where an additional Celebrity Invitational prize package will be handed out.

This year’s Celebrity Invitational is scheduled to take place on February 20th and 21st with the televised final table taking place on March 3rd. Last year’s final table featured poker pros Scott “BigRiskky” Clements and Freddy Deeb as well as actor Nicholas Gonzalez. Deeb walked away with the top prize of $100,000 and his second career WPT victory. He has earned over $2 million on the WPT tour and recently made the final table of the Festa Al Lago Main Event at the Bellagio, where he finished in 4th place.

PartyPoker is also still running online qualifiers for players to win their way into the LAPC Main Event, which is set to run at Commerce Casino from February 26th through March 4th. Daily qualifiers run through February 7th and the final weekly qualifier will run on Sunday the 7th at 2:15PM ET.
