The New Year is just a week away and Party Poker is planning to get 2010 off to a great start with its latest monthly promotion. The online poker room is bringing back its popular Cash Machine promotion for the month of January and players will have a chance to earn anywhere from $10 to $8,000.

For those familiar with past installments of the Cash Machine, the January promotion will run in similar fashion to its predecessors. Players will be rewarded based on how many PartyPoints they earn over a series of days. Participants will have the whole month of January to log as many PartyPoints as they can each day. At the end of the month, Party Poker will tally the ten days in which participants earned the most points. Players will be awarded $1 for every point earned on the day with the smallest point total.

While that made sound slightly confusing, a simple example will help clear things up. Say a player earns 300 points on five days, 200 points on three days, 150 points on one day and 120 points on another. That player would receive $120 as part of the Cash Machine proposal because that was the lowest daily total the player earned in a ten day period. Players must earn at least ten points on ten different days in January in order to qualify for the minimum payout of $10. If players play on ten different days in January but fail to meet the ten point minimum, they will be invited to take part in a $25,000 Cash Machine freeroll, which is scheduled to take place at 3PM ET on Tuesday February 3rd. However, players be warned that you must opt-in in order to participate in the promotion.

Players can have up to 28 qualifying days for the Cash Machine and those who achieve at least 1,000 points on 20 of those days will be eligible for an added cash bonus. The Cash machine Booster Bonus is awarded to players who earn more than 1,000 points on 20 or more qualifying days and ranges in value from $500 to $3,000 in addition to the regular Cash Machine payout. If a player earns between 1,000 and 1,500 points on 20 days, they get an additional $500 while players who earn at least 3,000 points on 20 qualifying days gets the maximum booster payout of $5,000.

The promotion gets underway at midnight on January 4th and continues until the end of the day on January 31st. Players can begin opting in to the promotion on the 4th, but will be able to opt-in any time during that period as well. The payouts from the Cash Machine promotion will be deposited in players’ accounts within 48 hours of the promotion coming to a close.
