As many already know, Turkey recently outlawed online gambling (not totally, as “authorized” companies can offer it, but it is basically banned), which was brought to light in the poker community primarily because of Neteller’s withdrawal from the country. This week, Party Poker followed suit, making the move to disallow anyone from Turkey to play for real money on its site.

While Party Poker is most likely not happy about having to do this, the company did say that the loss of revenue will not have a significant effect on its total revenue.

eGaming Review reported that industry analysts expect Turkey to eventually allow bookmakers to apply for licenses to operate within the country, but as of now, that is all conjecture.
