Ongame Guarantees $400,000 More Per Week
By Adam Ulick | March 19, 2007
The Ongame network (PokerRoom.com, HollywoodPoker.com) announced last week that throughout the rest of March, it will be adding $400,000 to its guaranteed tournament prize pools. Other networks have made similar moves recently, including Party Poker, the Microgaming poker network, and Absolute Poker, so this most definitely appears to be a “keeping up with the Joneses” decision on Ongame’s part.
Ongame’s Big Deal, Euro Grand Prix, and Royal Tournaments are all juicier now, with prize pools of $75,000 (50% increase), $40,000 (100%), and $20,000 (33%) respectively. The Grand tournament has gone from zero guaranteed dollars to a massive $150,000 guaranteed.
Several smaller guaranteed prize pool tournaments have been added to the daily schedule as well. Six dailies with guarantees ranging from $3,000 to $10,000 are now available, as well as two $5,000 guaranteed tournaments each weekend day.
