Negreanu Calls Full Tilt Poker’s Chris Ferguson A Scumbag
By Renee | February 17, 2012
When Daniel Negreanu lets go he certainly does not hold it back. He finally decided to take a swipe at the three men considered the main brains behind the now shut down poker site, Full Tilt Poker.

Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar are co-owners of the defunct online gambling site. Since Black Friday, April 15 2011, when the government cracked down on several online gambling sites, including Full Tilt Poker, and shut them down, these three men have been deafeningly silent. Subsequent revelations of an alleged “massive Ponzi scheme”, large scale money laundering, millions of dollars of unpaid players’ money have all largely elicited absolutely no comments from them.
While the government and a French group, Groupe Bernard Tapie, have been trying to work out a deal to revive the site and find a way to pay back the thousands of unpaid registered players of FTP, these three men have silently watched and lobbied to preserve their share of the ill gotten wealth.
All this has naturally lead to tremendous frustration among the members of the online gaming fraternity. Until now, there has been no notable voice raised against the men responsible for the fiasco.
Enter Negreanu. In a YouTube video, the Romanian origin Canadian pro poker player has let it fly at the three.
In the video he says:
“In a recent blog, I made some comments about Howard Lederer, Chris Ferguson and Ray Bitar, mentioning that something to the effect of old-school Vegas-style baseball bats to the groin for what they’ve done. And you know, I’ve come to realize those comments are pretty harsh, and I’ve had some time to think about what I’d said, and yeah, I think they were absolutely appropriate.”
Negreanu seems to simply voice the frustration of thousands of players who are still unpaid by the site. The deal between the government and the new buyers is already delayed by several months and there seems to be no quick solution in sight.
“I waited a long time, I really didn’t say anything for months, hoping you guys could rectify the situation, but you are scumbags, absolute flat-out scumbags, for ignoring the poker world that you fleeced for as much money as you did, and now you have nothing to say? Are you freaking serious?” He added.
Meanwhile the men responsible for the fraud are silent and it just might need several more voices like that of Negreanu to force them to react.
