NBC Announces Dates for National Heads-Up Poker Championship

The 2008 edition of NBC’s National Heads-Up Poker Championship (NHUPC) has been slated to run February 28 through March 2.For the third straight year, the tournament will be held at Caesars in Las Vegas, after debuting at the Golden Nugget in 2005, the only year it was held at the downtown casino.
The NHUPC is a 64-player tournament, bracketed like the NCAA basketball tournament.Each round is single elimination except for the finals, which is best-of-three.
The vast majority of the field will be invite-only and will be announced at a later date.The players will be bracketed in a lottery system.

2007 – Paul Wasicka def. Chad Brown
