Microgaming Unveils No-Download Client
By Kory Travers | March 8, 2007
Microgaming has launched its new no-download version of its poker software, called Multi-Player Viper (MPV). The flash-based client is currently in beta-testing mode and is in limited release on the network. It is available at RoyalVegasPoker.com and PokerTime.com (at Royal Vegas, it can be found via the “Instant Play” button and at PokerTime via the “Poker Lite” button).
The MPV software has the same look and feel as the regular version and, in fact, may actually load and run a bit faster. Virtually all of the normal features are present. One problem so far is that the banking function does not seem to load properly. But again, it is a beta version.
Keep in mind that MPV does not work with Firefox. Use Internet Explorer if you plan on trying out the no-download software.
