Layla Kayleigh Out at World Poker Tour
By Adam Ulick | May 16, 2008
World Poker Tour Enterprises, Inc., confirmed the rumors this week that its hostess, Layla Kayleigh, will not return to the WPT for Season VII.She was the third hostess in three years for the World Poker Tour, after three consecutive years with Shana Hiatt in front of the cameras.
Hiatt left after Season III, replaced by Courtney Friel.Friel was dismissed after Season IV and Sabina Gadecki took her spot.Despite being well-liked by the players on tour, Gadecki was dumped after just one season and the WPT brought in Kayleigh to serve as hostess for Season VI.Now, while we do not know if the split was initiated by the WPT or Kayleigh herself, we do know that she is the third straight one-season-wonder.
The World Poker Tour is currently casting for its fifth hostess.Pillars of consistency, both Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten remain in place as the show’s announcers.
