iPoker Breaks into Top Five Poker Networks
By Kevin Felix | March 19, 2007
Playtech’s iPoker network is now amongst the top five largest poker networks on the internet, thanks to last week’s completed migration of the Tribeca Tables and Tain networks onto the iPoker platform. The total absorption of the new rooms comes a month ahead of schedule.
Based on figures published by pokersitescout.com, iPoker did hit the number four spot just after the merge, but it has since dropped to number five, based on 24-hour peak and 7-day average numbers. PokerStars, Party Poker, Full Tilt Poker, and the Ongame network currently rank ahead of iPoker. Playtech said the peak player numbers jumped approximately two and half times because of the migration, from 8,600 to more than 20,000.
iPoker now also ranks as the third largest online poker room that does not service U.S. residents, falling in line behind PartyPoker and Ongame.
