Some of the world’s best poker players are also the best actors at the table. One former champ is going to test his acting skills on the big screen. 2005 World Series of Poker champion, Joe Hachem, has been tapped for a role in an Australian thriller called Prey.
The film is directed by George Miller, who also co-wrote the movie with John Soto. It is currently in pre-production and is slated to begin filming June 11 and premier in 2008. Hachem is not one of the films stars, but is said to have a smaller, yet important role.
Prey’s plot revolves around three couples, one from the United States and two from Australia, who set off on a sort of off-roading vehicle adventure vacation in the Australian desert, only to have things go completely and terrifyingly wrong.
