From May 4 through May 6, the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa will make poker history in Atlantic City, as it will host the $500,000 Guaranteed Prize Pool Deep Stack Poker Tournament.With a minimum prize pool of half a million dollars (as if the name of the tournament didn’t make this obvious), the event will be the largest guaranteed prize pool poker tournament in the city’s history.

At a $2,000 buy-in, one would expect that the tournament will probably see enough competitors so as to avoid overlay, considering the popular location and the fact that there are no major U.S. tournaments at that time (it is sandwiched by two WSOP Circuit events).

The Borgata will also run three satellites to the Deep Stack Poker Tournament, one each on April 27, May 2, and May 3.
