UltimateBet launches $2 million Online Championship

UltimateBet seems to be making an effort to pamper its players: first a software upgrade and now a revamped UltimateBet.com Online Championship (UBOC), which will kick off this December and boasts an impressive prize pool of $2,000,000.

The first annual UltimateBet.com Online Championship took place last year, and this year will see twice the prize pool for twice the action. UltimateBet spokesperson George MacLean does not curb his enthusiasm when talking about this event: “Our groundbreaking UltimateBet.com Online Championship is back and this year’s battle promises to be infinitely fiercer.”

Fierce indeed, considering the initial event will be a $100,000 guaranteed Hold’em tournament that will set the pace for a total of 13 events between December 7 and December 16 before going out with a bang, with a final $1000+50 No Limit Texas Hold’em featuring a $750,000 prize pool. There are plans to broadcast the final table of this event online.

UltimateBet is the brainchild of poker legends Phil Hellmuth and Annie Duke, who will be hosting several of the events as commentators along with several other UltimateBet pros.
