In what should prove to be a boon to high stakes sit-and-go enthusiasts, Party Poker has drastically reduced its entry fee for single table tournaments of the $200 and richer varieties. Rather than using the traditional “percentage of buy-in” method for calculating how much goes to the house, Party will now charge a flat fee for all sit-and-gos with buy-ins of $200 or more. The flat fee: just $10. Even at the $5,000 level, which was just added by Party, the poker room’s take will only be $10. For high stakes sit-and-go pros, this should amount to massive savings. The following is the new Party Poker fee table for the high stakes games, including what Party says is the savings one will see as a result of the new flat fee: Buy-in | Fee | Seats | Typical Savings | | $5,000 | $10 | 6 | $190 | | $5,000 | $10 | 2 | $90 | | $2,000 | $10 | 10 | $80 | | $2,000 | $10 | 6 | $80 | | $2,000 | $10 | 2 | $40 | | $1,000 | $10 | 10 | $40 | | $1,000 | $10 | 6 | $20 | | $1,000 | $10 | 2 | $20 | | $500 | $10 | 10 | $20 | | $500 | $10 | 6 | $20 | | $500 | $10 | 2 | $10 | | $300 | $10 | 10 | $10 | | $300 | $10 | 6 | $10 | | $300 | $10 | 2 | $10 | | $200 | $10 | 10 | $6 | | $200 | $10 | 6 | $6 | | $200 | $10 | 2 | $0 |
