PartyPoker.net Signs Sponsorship Deal with World Series of Poker

Home >Poker News >2007 >May >PartyPoker.net Signs Sponsorship Deal with World Series of Poker

Date: May 23, 2007
By: Hans F

Harrah’s announced last week that it has signed a deal with PartyPoker.net to renew the online poker room’s product placement agreement with the World Series of Poker.  As such, PartyPoker.net’s logo will be placed on the table felts for the second year in a row, and probably on anything and everything else.

PartyPoker.net was one of the few online poker rooms that did not have a special player’s suite last year, most likely because it did not need one.  With its name all over the place, the company got plenty of exposure.  In the meantime, sites like FullTiltPoker.net, UltimateBet.tv, Bodog.net, and DoylesRoom.net, all had lounges outside of the main poker room for players and fans to relax, have a drink, pick up some swag, and, of course, signup for an online poker account.

This year, Harrah’s has placed restrictions on online gaming advertising, not allowing ads by sites that allow U.S. customers to play for real money.  PartyGaming was one of the first online gaming companies to ban U.S. players after the UIGEA was passed in the fall.
