NBC Heads-Up Championship Field Near Completion

NBC has released an updated list of invitees for its fourth annual National Heads-Up Poker Championship (NHUPC), to be contested at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.  Out of the field of 64, only four seats remain (provided all of the invitees accept the offer and plunk down $20,000), which will go to various promotional winners.

The list features fifteen new faces to the NHUPC including two actors (Jason Alexander and Brad Garrett), one former star athlete (Orel Hershiser), one WSOP champion (Jerry Yang), and five internet stars (Daniel “Rekrul” Schreiber, Brian “sbrugby” Townsend, Jonathan “FieryJustice” Little, Scott “BigRiskky” Clements, and Tom “durrrr” Dwan).

All three past NHUPC champions – Phil Hellmuth (2005), Ted Forrest (2006), and Paul Wasicka (2007) -- have been invited back.
