Liebert, PokerStars Team Up

While her name has yet to show up on the list of pros in the PokerStars software client, it appears as if Kathy Liebert has signed on with the internet’s largest poker room.  PokerStars sponsored the long-time pro at the final table of the first event at this year’s World Series of Poker, a sponsorship which worked well, as she made a run from the short stack to finishing in third place.

Liebert has one WSOP gold bracelet, which she won in the 2004 $1,500 Shootout event.  She has won over $4 million on the tournament circuit, making her not only the top female poker player of all time in terms of winnings, but also one of the top players of all time, period.  With twelve tournament victories to her name, her largest by far was in the 2002 Party Poker Million.  With that title, she became the first woman to win a one million dollar prize.

Interestingly, this is Liebert’s second go-round with PokerStars.
