High Stakes Poker Stakes Get Higher

The hit television show, High Stakes Poker, will take its nosebleed stakes to full-blown gusher status in November.  Starting with the November 5th episode, the customary $100,000 minimum buy-in will be increased five-fold to $500,000.

All told, there will be more than $5 million on the table at any given time.  The “Higher Stakes Poker” will be broadcast across seven episodes.

Many familiar faces will plunk down half a million or more, including Doyle Brunson, Barry Greenstein, Antonio Esfandiari, Jamie Gold, Sam Farha, David Benyamine, and Patrik Antonius.  Also participating will be Cirque du Soleil CEO Guy Laliberte and Daniel Negreanu, who will replace Jamie Gold on the November 26 episode.
