Full Tilt Poker will be kicking off their 8th annual Full Tilt Online Poker Series (FTOPS) this May from the 7th-10th. This year the tournament will feature 24 individual tournaments and will culminate with a grand finale Main Event hosted by sexy celebrity pro Jennifer Harman. More than $10 million in guaranteed prize money will be up for grabs this year. The FTOPS offers nearly every variation of poker imaginable including No Limit Hold’em, HORSE, Omaha and even Razz. Preceding the Main Event this year will be a $2,500 two-day No Limit Hold’em tournament that is expected to be packed with some of poker’s best players. This year Full Tilt went out of their way to spice things up by introducing a few “mystery” tournaments, the formats of which will not be revealed to the public ahead of time.
All players who reach any of the FTOPS final tables will receive a stylish limited-edition jacket so they can go home and brag to their friends. Winners will also get a gold FTOPS jersey, a gold jersey avatar on Full Tilt as well as an entry into the FTOPS Season II Tournament of Champions.
The Tournament of Champions is a freeroll tournament that Full Tilt is creating for all FTOPS winners, and its top prize is a seat in the World Series of Poker Main Event. The Tournament of Champions will be taking place Saturday, May 24.
The FTOPS made its grand debut in August of 2006 with 8 different events and $1 million in guaranteed prize money. This event has grown at an astonishing rate over the last two years – FTOPS VII awarded more than $15million in prize money and this year’s tournament will challenge that precedent.
Seats to all of the FTOPS events will be offered as prizes through Full Tilt’s Satellite Challenge. FTOPS is also currently offering a “Bounecebackability” freeroll to ever player who bubbles out (which means any player who is eliminated before the money) of an FTOPS event. A seat to the FTOPS IX Main Event will be awarded to the winner of this tournament, which will also take place Saturday, May 24.
