Bluff Magazine Launches Online Poker Room

Date: May 31, 2008
By: Dan K.

Yes, Bluff magazine, an American publication, has launched an online poker room.  And yes, it is legal.  How?  Because there is technically no gambling taking place.  The company’s new venture, ClubBluff.com, is a subscription-based poker room, meaning that players pay a monthly fee to sit at the virtual tables, but no money is actually risked once the cards are dealt.

For $19.95 per month, members of ClubBluff.com will be able to participate in multi-table tournaments, sit-and-gos, and ring games.  Over $100,000 in cash and prizes will be at stake every month, all put up by Bluff magazine.  A $1,000 freeroll will be held every night and a $20,000 freeroll will run monthly.  Other prizes up for grabs include seats at WSOP Main Event, WSOP Circuit events, and WPT Championship events.

Members will also receive access to Bluff magazine content online, as well as tips from professional poker players.

Bluff’s rival, CardPlayer magazine, launched its own subscription poker room, SpadeClub, late last year.
