Another Payment Processor Bites the Dust

Home >Poker News >2007 >July >Another Payment Processor Bites the Dust

Date: July 16, 2007
By: Dan K.

You could lineup their tombstones like in an old Wild West town: Neteller…Firepay…Citadel…Central Coin…the list of online payment processors who have fled the U.S. market goes on and on.  Now we can add EcoCard to the pile.

EcoCard was never an extraordinarily popular payment method for online gambling, but it was still something.  And something is generally better than nothing.

According to David Brickman of the online gaming group Jackpot Factory, EcoCard will be rolling out another option for current U.S. customers who have made at least $500 in transactions with their accounts.  There is no word as to how the company can close its service to U.S. customers yet still open another one, but hopefully it will be something that will work well.
