Why nobody should play the Stars $20+2 deep stack tournament

I just spent over 8 hours playing in the Stars $20+2 deep stack tournament and I just remembered why the last time I played in this tournament I said I would never do it again. I finished in 15th place out of 625+ players when I went all in with 88 (an overpair) against someone who made a set of sixes on the flop. What a waste of time and effort for a measly $100 profit! I have hardly anything to show for beating over 610 other players and building my stack up from 5,000 to over 125,000 chips. Furthermore, the top prize was just over $3K--pretty weak. Compare this deep stack tournament to the $50+5 rebuy tournament, which usually has just over 200 players, a first prize of over $7K, and takes less than four hours to complete! Another reminder to myself: never play the $20+2 deep stack tournament again!!

more or less the ONLY reason to play the DS's is to practice for something like the sunday mil. these tournaments have a HORRIBLE hourly rate, something you could easily take playing cash.
