Where Scotty spends his excess cash

So I was looking on Ebay for some odds and ends, and I happened to wander over to my Paypal account to see what I had in there, and discovered $140 lying in there that I had totally forgotten about... cool! I love "found money." Of course, I couldn't just send it back to my bank account to join the rest of my cash like some stingy miser, nope! I just had to spend it on something good. But what, you ask... what could I possibly find for $140. Heh. It didn't take long before I found this
Incredibly sexy looking backgammon board that I can't stop drooling over
Sayonara to the $10 piece of plastic and velvet set from Target that has served me for about 2 years, it finally broke. When the new board arrives, surely it will laugh at me when it sees the sorry state of its predecessor.

Why the flip is it so expensive??
By the way, these are traditional Middle Eastern backgammon boards. Growing up, these things were (and still are) scattered all over my parents' house. I'm surprised they cost so much.

Well, I haven't bought it yet, so if you've got a nice one lying around, name your price and I'll send you the money instead of some random guy.

Cool, let me see what's lying around and I'll get back to you, b/c I wouldn't want to send you a used set.

Damn, that looks nice, though for $129, that isn't exactly cheap.
It looks like it should have a harem that comes included with it though.

ROFL, that would be sweet!
I would be more than happy to pay the stupid amounts of shipping cost if ebay things came with 3 maidens of virtue true

Okay Scotty, sorry I do not have anything brand new. I would like to tell you that this is too much and you shouldn't be paying more than $80 for this.
I still can't get over the price. I mean, we used to abuse these things when we were kids, they were so common to us. They looked nice, if nothing else too.

For those that don't already know, Backgammon is relatively new to me, but oh how I love it. Until now, I have been playing on a $10 plastic and felt set, bought on a whim from Target. Given that my set has partially broken and now that I've graduated in skill to the stage of "only slightly crappy", I feel that a new set is overdue. I may still look like a schmuck to anyone who is an expert at backgammon, but at least my board will be above reproach. Right now, I feel like the guy who brought his set of 7g plastic chips to the poker game...
Some of you feel that this Ebay set is not worth $140, so I'm going to have to trust your intuition on this. I don't have enough knowledge of these sets to be a good judge of value, but some of them are quite pricey, and others are incredibly cheap (and cheap-looking). I'm going to save the Ebay $ for now.
Mervhage,
If you have several of these lying around and the case and pieces are in good condition, I'd be interested in buying a set from you... I don't require a brand new set, but I would like something with a good amount of detail/craftmanship, and in a condition that doesn't force me to apologize for anything.
