I'm playing my B game at a loose limit table, essentially only playing in the back and rarely venturing post-flop. In the middle of the session I see it, these two guys in the middle got to the showdown and split the pot with ... the hammer!
It made me laugh.
It made me laugh.

This month I'm exploring the exciting world of micro-limit hold'em at Stars. I've wanted to go back and log some time in different limits for a while, and the current mess gives me an excuse to.
I decided the week the UIGEA passed that I needed a politically safe bankroll, and not a mathematically safe one. In the future I'm going to strictly limit the amount on deposit at any one place, not just the stakes. If that means I end up with suboptiomal growth than so be it. I'd throw up a bit if I lost a third of a 300BB bankroll because of legal actions.
After this month I have vague plans of world domination. Nothing too firm, I'll burn a hole in the ozone layer or hold the UN hostage with stolen nukes. I'll probably continue with the starting over theme and slowly climb up the stakes again. I think most of my bank roll has now become bank account, except for a small chunk I'm keeping for poker.

Australia? They tax poker income at 70% there. That's why Hachem renounced his citizenship.

She'd have to pay taxes in the US too. I don't know why so many people think that moving lets you off the hook. The only "benefit" you get is deducting taxes already paid in the other country if we have a tax treaty with them.
