What could I have done different?

Could I have played this Better? Weekly home game 15 peeps started down to final 3. Top 3 in the money... I am small blind have about 300 chips. big blind about 50 chips and dealer and chip leader about 550 chips.

Small blind is 20 chips big is 40 chips. Dealer calls the blind of 40.. I look at my cards and see
I call all in. big blind throws his last 10 in and the dealer calls me..

At this point I am amazed she called and I am looking good.
Flop comes
Turn comes
and I am screwed to straight.
River is crap.

Table was 50/50 on whether she should have called my all in. Don't think I would have.
If I had simply called the blinds and waited for the flop and then called all-in she would have been on gut shot draw and maybe not called my all-in.
If I wait for the turn and call in with 3 Qs I lose any way same result and I don't put her on K/10.
I did want her involved in the pot thou.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

having to call more than 7x the bb and doing it with k10s. It may have looked like you were just bullying the bb, but once you went all in there was definitely no need for the dealer to call. At that point it's headsup and she is still chip leader.

I think your push is fine. You can't control the others or the cards, but at least you got your money in with the best of it.
