using pl omaha to clear bonus
by ironman056 » Mon Dec 12, 2005 2:14 pm
i just started trying to clear bonuses and i was at the inter site and discovered that playing the .50/1 pl omaha was by far the quickest way to get my $90. It took me just 3 days to clear the bonus, and after that i was up another $200, so on my $100 deposit i walked away with a bankroll of $390, If anyone is good at omaha this is a decent way to clear a bonus casue there are a lot of fish out their that don't know how to play omaha. If anyone wants to discuss the merits of this idea or talk strategy just put a post down, and I will respond.

Hey
I'd definitely be interested in this. I have a little bit to go in the Ultimate Bet bonus that I got recently, but Omaha is really the way forward for me at the minute. I just really enjoy it. I was actually looking at the Interpoker site today to see what kind of Omaha tables they offered. I've never even looked at an Interpoker/Caribbean Sun bonus before. You think they are worthwhile? How many hands did it take to clear the bonus? I know you said a few days, but how long were you playing for that? How many tables?
I'd be interested to hear your views.
Cheers.

It took me approx. 8hrs to clear the bonus, but i personally wouldnt recommend inter or carribean sun, becasue their isnt a ton of players online all the time. Plus you have to wait for a pin# to be able to withdraw your deposit which after almost 2 weeks i have yet to receive. Once i get the pin# im just gonna move on to another site for bonus hunting. But i may come back to inter on occasion since its a monthly bonus just to clear and grap the extra funds. Plus there are some pretty loose players which can pay off big time. but i did take some horrendous beats in that short amount of time. But I agree the pl omaha is the future for me to, while i consider my self to be good at hold'em im far better at omaha and I think not enough people take advantage of it.

ps i only did it on one table because there is often only 1 table available on inter which pisses me off.

That's actually an advantage of the crypto network, almost all of their tables have waiting lists. I'm not sure what crack monkey started the whining about it, but it's a far superior situation to other internet cardrooms which keep a bunch of empty tables open. Some places it's so bad that you can be the big blind in a ten handed hold'em game almost 50% of the time the way people are up, down, posting, waiting as they hop from table to table. At least on the cryptos you know your game is never breaking up, just turning over.

OK...I'm trying this to clear my December bonus at Inter.
I have never played Omaha in my life, so I read the chapters on Omaha in my brand spanking new Super System 2 that Inter sent me, and I logged in and started playing.
In two sessions yesterday and today, about 5 hours total, playing extremely tight at the .25/.50 O8HL table (sometimes two tables) I cleared 47% of my rake requirements and I am up about $80.
What if I knew what I was doing?
