There is no hiding from Miami, I think everyone knows that.

My play is usually described as mostly weak/tight (tricky?) Most here do not see eye to eye with my SNG style.* It is dull, appears weak, and leads to a lot of suckouts...which I have gotten used to...mmm...for the most part. I believe some of the more aggressive styles represented on this forum are more correct than the way I play. But, it has worked for me through the years, and still works for me (though not quite as good as it used to), which makes me very hesitant to change...that is about all I can say about it. I have made minor loosening adjustments since Frist (had to in order to survive).
I have attempted to teach my style of play to 3 people so far. One of them went on tilt and broke my computer chair (now taking a long break from poker). The other, after losing for 2 months while trying to emulate my style, gave up and developed a style of his own (which he still loses with, BTW). One quit poker after a month of what he described as "total frustration" even though he finished the month ahead.
I would not be a good poker tutor, even though I am a long-term winning player. I either have an incredible luckbox, or I am doing something subconsciously (that cannot be taught) which allows me to win while playing a nitty, weak style. I keep waiting for my luck to give out but it never quite seems to...at least not for long. My style seems to get me in the money quite often in SNG's, though my first place ratio is not all that great. (My normal, very cautious game often gets me to the money on the extreme short stack.)
I almost always end up comfortably ahead each month, though throughout the month I feel as though I am losing. This makes any drastic changes to my game risky in my mind.
I have read 30 poker books and, although I did take bits and pieces from all, I do not 100% follow any of them. I have an SNG style that seems to only work for me...if that makes any sense at all.
I am a firm believer in staying out of the way during the early stages of SNG's. I will usually even try to limp in with AA for fear of what the flop may bring to someone else.
I often comment on posted hands, but it is usually best to wait and see what others have to say, too, and evaluate my responses against theirs. I find it very hard to give confident comments on individual hands without being in the total flow of the session.
Enough nonsense and rambling by me! I will stop this post...NOW!
There are a lot of veterans (Sklansky, Mason, Zee amongst them) who aren't the first to point out that poker is filled with hotshot loose aggressives that run good. And this game can be played all different ways, from minraising and auto c betting to 3 betting 89s preflop.
Have you ever thought about trying out cash games?
*Edit: I'll just add that Chip Reese is described as tight and boring to watch and that he just does everything right. Oh well, he has monies.

So true!( I did not say it was a good plan...

Basically all of you can bust my balls at will during the week. I do not mind the tough part is explaining that dumb ass grin to your boss when seemingly nothing is going on.
Just remember:
The Llama and I will hunt you all down.

That is IT for me. I am backing off this plan right now! I definitely do NOT want a Llama on the hunt for me!
